Every gym rat knows that he needs the ideal levels of testosterone in order to maximise their muscle strength and growth from his efforts in the gym. Most healthy guys who want to train seriously have two natural ways to increase testosterone through supplementation. They either take a testosterone supplement that frees up the already existing testosterone which is inactive, or take supplements that increase the amount of supplements your body produces.Testosterone Supplement

Simply put, you might already have a lot of testosterone in your system, but most of it may not be available for muscle building as it’s bound by SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin) which causes the testosterone to “float” pointlessly in your system. Or, you may be able to increase your muscle strength and size by improving your body’s ability to produce more testosterone.

Testosterone is a hormone which is mainly produced in the testicles and it’s essential for male development, and it plays a key role in your muscle mass and bones, sex drive, facial and pubic hair, mood and life quality, thinking ability and verbal memory, and even developing a deeper voice. But gym rats use it mainly for increased muscle mass.

Leaner body mass will help you control your weight better and it will help you increase your energy levels. Men that have lower testosterone, can benefit greatly from a testosterone supplement, as it can decrease fat mass and increase their strength and muscle size. A lot of men report a change in lean body mass without an increase in strength just by taking the supplements. If that’s the case, then you need to combine taking the supplements with exercise and strength training.

However, it’s important to know that if you have average testosterone levels, and increase those level to above average, you’re likely not going to experience that much of a difference. Testosterone supplements work best on people that have below average levels, and that’s scientifically proven. If you take the right dosage, steadily over a long period of time, you’re bound to feel the effects, but you’ll still have to work your ass off in the gym.

One thing is for sure though, testosterone can improve the quality of life, and it may be the confidence boost you need. Your libido will go through the roof, you’ll maintain a healthy weight more easily, you can experience improved moods, stronger bones, and a healthy heart and improved red blood cell production.
