It is no secret that since the very first time handbags have appeared on the market, they have instantly become every woman’s most reliable ally for achieving an attractive and stylish look. Let’s be honest, there surely isn’t a single lady who does not possess at least one alluring handbag which is in fact, her most powerful weapon and all-in-one accessory.

As the fashion industry evolved, so did handbag styles. Designers have introduced new models of women’s handbags in many designs, colours and shapes. However, one of the popular beliefs among women is that black goes with everything, hence the reason why black-coloured ladies handbags on sale are most commonly purchased.

But, is a black handbag the most versatile handbag colour a woman can own? I believe that a black -coloured handbag can work out in many occasions, but what happens if your outfit screams brown or navy colour? Moreover, a black handbag can totally drag a colourful outfit down and unfortunately, this is what actually happens to women very often. So, why not add a splash of colour to your outfits. Here are my top colour picks that are trendy, stylish and most important of all, functional.

  • Metallic – Metallic handbags feature an incredible versatility, as this is the colour you can wear all year long. In other words, a metallic handbag is timeless. You can practically wear it anytime and anywhere, no matter if dressed up to the nines or featuring a casual, sporty outfit with a pair of jeans and a basic white top.

  • Teal – Considered a universal colour, teal ladies handbags go perfectly with any skin tone, thanks to the warm-based blue note. The greatest thing about teal-coloured handbags is that they do not look too jarring or out-of-space, so women can freely combine them with other clothing pieces, like coral sweater, purple dress or a pink outfit.

  • Tan – The tan colour generally falls into the mid-brown, cognac and beige category and I must say that this is my favourite handbag colour. Why? Because tan handbags are extremely practical and functional, as they allow you to pair them with any other colour, especially with brown and black outfit combinations that are simply irreplaceable. And the best of all, you can find tan ladies handbags on sale often and not only during Holidays or at the end of the season.

These are just some of my personal favourites, but do not forget other gorgeous neutral shades of handbag colours, such as navy, grey and khaki. What is your favourite handbag colour?
