Buying a new car can really be difficult, especially if you do not know what you want and/or are not a car expert. That’s why we decided to give you few tips on what to look for when buying a new car.

  • Before visiting a car dealership, you have to know what you’re looking for. The Internet is the best option when choosing a car. Research online on various cars, read customers’ reviews and decide on make and model that suits you the most. If you have concerns about anything, seek answers and explanations before you sign the contract.

  • Price on most cars these days is not fixed and car dealers are prepared to negotiate, unless a car is the newest model or highly demanded.

  • Pay close attention to car’s warranty. They are not transferable, and differ from car dealer to car dealer. Some offer extended warranty and some don’t. So, before purchasing a new car read the terms and conditions, since warranty is, in some sense, a way car dealers force you to service your car at there shops only.

  • Be aware of the model and when it was produced. Older models are less expensive but still offer almost the same features and performance.

  • If you are unsure about anything related to car’s mechanics, make pre purchase vehicle inspection, in order to be sure that the car does not only look good, but is safe to drive.

  • Before leaving car dealership, do not forget to get car insurance.

Once your car warranty expires, you can take your car to any reputable car mechanic in Melbourne for regular checks and car service.

If your budget doesn’t allow you the purchase of a new car, you can always buy second-hand or used car. The above mentioned rules and tips apply to used cars as well. The most important thing is to male pre-purchase car inspection to make sure your car runs perfectly good.
