Diesel Compressor

The air compressor is one of the most useful and versatile tools, used for various industrial, manufacturing and commercial purposes. This device has the power to force a great amount of air through a hose. When compressed, the air pressure tends to rise, creating in this way a force that can be used for various projects in a short period of time. If you want to improve the quality of your work and to get things done with greater accuracy, then get yourself a diesel compressor. The diesel compressor doesn’t require a lot of maintenance, but there are some things you need to keep in mind when using such device. If you want to prolong the life span of your diesel compressor, then make sure you keep the machine in good working condition. Check the following maintenance tips:

  • If you want to increase the efficiency of your diesel compressor, you should definitely read the air compressor’s manual. You will find some simple yet useful tips on how to maintain the diesel compressor.
  • Make sure you always drain the moisture from the tanks after use. Especially if you live in a region with humid climate. Tanks usually include a valve for draining moisture, but it’s up to you to regularly clean the tank after every operation.
  • You should clean the air filters regularly, especially if you work in a dirty or dusty environment. Filthy air filters will degrade the functionality of your machine. You need to keep the intake vents clean if you don’t want to decrease the power of your diesel compressor.
  • Diesel compressors are powerful and fast running machines. With regular use, screws, nuts and bolts become loose. Make sure you check them from time to time.
  • The most important part of every diesel compressor is the hose. If the hose is damaged or corroded, it will begin to leak, causing problems that can lead to total machine failure. Therefore, you must regularly check the hose.
  • Changing the compressor oil on every 500-1000 working hours is a must. You should regularly check and change the oil if you want your diesel compressor to run smoothly. That is a rule number one if you want to ensure optimal performance.
  • If you use the diesel compressor extensively, then you must clean and remove any residual that might be on your fuel tank. It’s recommended to do that at least once a year.
  • Clean the fins and tubes from all the dirt that has been accumulated over time. Keep the operating temperature on a normal level by blowing the fins and tubes with your air hose.
